Below are some popular song stickers that are used for tagging and how to put them on a song page. The tags added to song pages are used by the shows feature to build requestable sets of songs.
Before using a tag, please go to the tag page and see if there is a definition. The community may have decided on a certain way to use the tag.
To tag a song do the following:
- Go to the song page.
- Get in edit mode.
- In the "Tags" section, type the appropriate tags as shown below.
- Click Show preview.
- Make sure all tags look correct (no red links). If anything looks incorrect the tag may not exist or there may be a typo.
- Click Save page.
To remove a tag:
- Remove the curly brackets and what is between them to remove a tag.
To change a tag:
- Change the text after the pipe (|).
NOTE: Many tags are subjective descriptions of the tunes. Tags are designed to allow listeners to build shows of tunes with similar characteristics. So, unless a tag is very out of whack leave it alone. That said, there are also quite a few mistagged tunes. Change these when you find them. The most obvious are vocal songs that are marked "instrumental" and vice versa.
What if something looks wrong? If something seems off and you are not comfortable correcting it, please mark the page with {{Needs Fixin}}.
