Trivia, story behind the song, etc.
Robin collaborated with 13 other musicians/singer/songwriters/poets on an album back in the earlie 90s. One of the persons in that group was a truck driver who pumped septic tanks. This guy wrote the most beautiful poetry while waiting for the pump to finish. He and Robin worked together to set several of his poems to music, one being "The Old Bush Pilot". The song was recorded on that early album; Robin later re-recorded the song on "Up On A Mountain Top" because she didn't like the way it was recorded the first time.
