RSS is the abbrevation of Really Simple Syndication, Rich Site Summary or RDF Site Summary (RSS 0.9 and 1.0).

For most users RSS allows them to subscribe to updates to websites using an RSS reader. Often users subscribe to RSS feeds to keep up-to-date with blogs and news sites. If you do not have an RSS reader but would like an extremely good one, go to http://www.google.com/reader and learn how to use Google Reader. This is the RSS reader Jimbob uses and promotes heavily.

With special feed readers like iTunes, users can subscribe to audio magazines (also known as "podcasts"). WWR uses Feedburner to publish all the feeds because Feedburner does an excellent job of making the feed useful and available to the widest number of RSS platforms.

WWR feeds

  • http://feeds.feedburner.com/WWR2 The main WWR feed - ideally will also include the audio magazines and trooper reports but since that requires manual updating, it may not always have them or they may be late. This is the feed that is "auto-discovered" on almost all of the WWR wiki pages as indicated by the little orange RSS feed icon in your browser window.
