EJ is short for 'electronic Deejay' or 'electronic disk jockey'.

At the most technical level, EJs are programs written in PHP that run on the main WWR computer in Talkeetna. They are responsible for keeping the music playing via Winamp. They create and load playlists into Winamp. They put random comments in the EJs' Chat Room page. They talk in robotic voices between songs. They are what allows the station to run without human intervention.

At a 'human' level, EJs are supposed to be fun and occasionally intelligent. Generally they are nitwits when it comes to conversing with humans. But occasionally they come up with something either very funny or very insightful. They are designed to keep the webcast from sounding or feeling like a pre-recorded canned music stream. They will do just about anything to get listeners to perk up their ears.

Mr. Monkey manages the eclectic crew of EJs.
