Russ Aimz is finding more than enough inspiration to stoke his songwriting fires. His Style of original cruisey mesmerizing rock/folk/pop earthy ballads, combined with a fun "head straight for the sky" playful and upbeat vibe that takes the audience by surprise.
Russ"s debut album is suitably titled "Cruze" great for long drives for one, it is released independently. A few tracks "The Grampians Song", "Laura", "Gypsy" and "Brand Nu Day" are currently receiving local airplay. "Also The Grampians Song" is now receiving airplay across the USA and around the world in 2007. As previously mentioned, the album also includes a rock"n cover version of Fleetwood Mac"s 80"s hit "Gypsy". Self-promotion has been Russ"s strong point for this album, never missing an opportunity to reach potential new music lovers. Recently a story and photo of Russ appeared in the local press, gaining an exposure and insight to his music to over 40,000 new people. Also joining Myspace has revealed David Bowie and Peter Gabriel as fans of Russ "s work.
"Cruze" was recently awarded "Album of the Week" on 8ccc radio, Alice Springs, Australia. Russ is continuing to develop his live performing skills and to create and perform new material along with the ongoing self-promotion of his album "CRUZE" is where Russ is today. read more
