Eva Moon hails from Seattle, and her songs hit your ears like a double shot of espresso. Far from your typical singer-songwriter fare, they’re ironic, energetic commentaries on modern life: inbox spam (Cash from Nigeria), beating stress (Run Away with Me), torrid passion (Monsoon), sex changes (Switcheroo) and that cute young dude in tight brown shorts (UPS Guy).
Eva’s musical background is equally eclectic. Originally from L.A., she’s new to the pop scene, but spent her childhood playing Eastern European Gypsy music with Balkanarama, a hot party band in Seattle, and other groups on both coasts. She once spent a month on tour in Eastern Europe with a Hungarian band.
Eva is equally at home opening for mainstream acts or appearing on a more offbeat bill. Her unique material complements other performers, and her ironic bemusement provides a welcome break from typical singer-songwriter angst. She’s flexible, professional and obsessively on time..
