Artists:Arthur Davenport

Folk musician Arthur Davenport plays fingerstyle guitar, and puts poetry to music, with songs reminiscent of Gordon Lightfoot, Cat Stevens or John Prine. Arthur has released 12 original folk ballads on the Reality Bends CD. Arthur's musical career spans 25 years of songwriting and performance. He first started playing in the Washington D.C. folk scene in the 1980's and then moved on to the southwest during the 90's while living in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He now makes his home on the Big Island of Hawaii. He has been featured on National Public Radio performing his song, "Lonesome Cowboy," specially written for a cowboy music compilation album entitled Round-em Up!

Arthur draws inspirations from many folk traditions including Scotch-Irish, Appalachian, Bluegrass, Island and Hawai'iana to create folk-fusion with a twist!
